At Speech Tactics, we take pride in providing comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services that are grounded in evidence-based practices and compassionate client care. Our multidisciplinary clinic setting ensures that each client receives individualized quality care, tailoring treatment plans to their unique needs. We take an innovative approach that integrates naturalistic learning opportunities to promote our clients’ independence in familiar daily living activities, helping them achieve meaningful and lasting progress as they reach developmental milestones-one step at a time! With a full-time clinical psychologist on staff, our ABA clients have access to additional psychological services to help families navigate the social, mental and emotional factors that may arise with an Autism diagnosis. We want to support families holistically while adding our unique and innovative approach to ABA therapy.

So what exactly is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven approach that focuses on understanding and improving behaviors through systematic assessment and intervention. It is widely recognized as a treatment option for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and various other developmental differences. However, ABA can also benefit individuals with other behavioral and learning difficulties. The key to understanding ABA as an intervention is to understand that the term “behavior” is NOT synonymous with “aggressive behaviors”.

At Speech Tactics, we characterize “behavior” as an individual’s response to internal or external environmental stimuli. This means that behaviors can be described in many ways that are not always negative; such as enthusiastic, pleasant, positive, agitated, talkative,  anxious, reserved, curious, resistant, fearful, eager, impulsive, thoughtful, engaging, and so much more.  The focus of our ABA approach lies NOT in the child’s diagnosis, but in uncovering and discovering their unique qualities, gifts, and characteristics through means of observation and measurement.

Our Innovative Approach

We take pride in our thoughtful approach to ABA therapy which includes the following:

1

Naturalistic Learning Opportunities

We believe in the power of incorporating natural environments into therapy sessions, allowing clients to learn and generalize skills in real-life situations.

2

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

Through a comprehensive FBA, we identify the root causes of challenging behaviors and develop targeted interventions to address them effectively.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Each client’s treatment plan is tailored to their specific strengths, needs, and goals, ensuring the most efficient and impactful therapy outcomes.

Parent and Caregiver Training

We actively involve parents and caregivers in the therapy process, equipping them with strategies to support their loved ones beyond the clinic setting. Parents/caregivers participate in 1:1 training with your child’s team

Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration

We utilize an interdisciplinary team approach with all of our families. This means multiple therapy professionals may contribute clinical insight, interventions, and recommendations to help plan your child’s success journey
